As we approach the final stretch of an extraordinary semester, UNI President Mark Nook thanked the UNI community for their hard work and dedication and stressed the importance of following public health guidelines as we enter winter break in a video message.

UNI's speech language pathology department first in the nation to use the Paul Simulator

Thanks to a $85,000 grant from the Roy J. Carver Charitable Trust Fund, the UNI Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders is now the first speech-language pathology department in the nation to use the Paul Simulator, which is a top-of-the-line high emotion simulator that students in the department will soon begin using for classwork.

UNI to offer new scholarship to underrepresented graduate students

UNI's Graduate College is unveiling a new scholarship that will support graduate students from underrepresented backgrounds who are committed to diversity and inclusion initiatives, especially in their field of study. The Diversity Advancement Award will award up to two recipients with a full tuition scholarship for the 2021-22 academic year, a full-time graduate assistantship and $1,500 to cover mandatory student fees and assist the student’s transition to graduate school.
